Ravindra (Ravi) Chhatre, PE
Ravi has spent nearly 20 years with the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) as Accident Investigator leading or supporting pipeline accident investigations across the country. Prior to that, he worked for a gas and electric utility for ~19 years. Ravi is a recognized expert, whether investigating pipeline accidents, conducting forensic excavations, speaking at national and international conferences, or testifying in criminal trials in Federal Courts. He has formal training in Metallurgical Engineering coupled with his PE license, and a strong background in corrosion failure investigations and corrosion mitigation.
Following his retirement from the NTSB, Ravi decided to start his own consulting practice by leveraging his expertise, knowledge and dedication to the profession. He works directly with his clients, with no middleman, to understand their needs and identify the best path forward. Integrity and honesty are crucial, even if that means losing a potential client by candidly telling them that they don’t actually need his services.
